Aptitude Test

 

We conduct aptitude tests in a professional, structural and systematic manner using socio- psychological instruments to determine and measure a student’s ability on numerical, verbal, logical and non-verbal reasoning, his/her IQ level etc. to evaluate how he/she perform on tasks or react to different situations, to access which major would suit his/her mental makeup and what specific set of skills they can acquire through future training. The tests assume that people differ in their special abilities and that these differences can be useful in predicting future achievements.

 

Psychological Testing & career counseling (why?)

 

·         Number of new age careers are now available

·         Cast of wrong choice is high e.g. suppose a person who taken PCM in XI takes coaching for engineering then Rs, 1 lakh is gone with wing it his abilities do not match. Testing & counseling can prevent this.

·         Testing is standardized (it is not a question noise) prepared by expect psychologists.

·         Counseling is undertaken with an experience person who interacts with thousands of students every year.

 

Stream selection & Career Choice Counseling

 

The Psychological tests are as follows:-

(1)     Interest Test: this is a paired comparison test to judge an individual’s interest profile.

(2)   Aptitude (Ability Test): these are time –based test which test an individual an various abilities like-verbal ability, numerical ability, closure ability, spatial ability, reasoning ability mechanical ability psycho-motor ability & clerical ability.

(3)  Personality Test: each individual is different and this test helps the counselor in understanding the student’s personality on the following parameters. Adaptability, academic achievement, boldness, competitiveness, creativity, enthusiasm, excitability, general ability, guilt proneness, individualism, innovation, leadership, maturity, mental health morality, self control, sensitivity, self sufficiency social warmth & tension.

 

A combination of these above mentioned tests results structured interview tests the counselor suggest careers suited for an individual.
